Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Copy The Master Learning Model on the ability to write poetry by Class X students. SMA Negeri 2 Siborongborong. The population in this study were grade X students SMA Negeri 2 Siborongborong Academic Year 2022/2023 with a total of 359 students consisting of 10 classes. consisting of 10 classes. The research sample amounted to 71 students, 35 students for experimental class and 36 students for the control class which were determined randomly from the total data. from the total data. The instrument used in collecting data is poetry writing ability assignment. The method used in this research is Two Group Pre-test Post-test Design.

 

From data processing obtained the results of the control class pre-test and experimental class post-test. The the average value of the experimental class = 78.28 standard deviation = 7.98 and includes

very good category as many as 11 students or 31.42%, good category as many as 19 students or 54.28%, good category as many as 19 students or 54.28%. students or 54.28%, 4 students or 11.42% were in the good category. while the average of the control class = 63.47, standard deviation = 13.27 and included the category of very good as many as 1 student or 2.77%, good category as many as 16 students or

44.44%, sufficient category as many as 11 students or 30.55%, poor category as many as 6 students or 16.66%, and the category is very lacking as many as 2 students or 5.55%. From the test results the data is known to be normally distributed.

 

From the homogeneity test obtained that the sample of this study came from a homogeneous papulation

after testing normality and homogeneity, obtained to of 5.44 then consulted with the t table at the level a = 0.05, dk = (N1 + N2)-2 = (35 + 36)-2 = 69. At t table with the level of dk = 69 obtained a significant level a = 0.05 = 1.667 because to obtained is greater than the t table, namely 5.63> 1.667, then the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. From the results of hypothesis testing obtained evidence that the ability to write poetry using the Copy The Master learning model is in the good category at SMA Negeri 2 Siborongborong in the 2022/2023 academic year.
