Abstract

This study aims to improve the quality of processes and learning outcomes in Indonesian language subjects in learning material for writing descriptive texts. Grade VI students of SD Negeri 173373 Sidondamon, Parmonangan District by applying the Think Pare Share learning model assisted by Picture Media. This research is a classroom action research. The research subjects were 11 students of class VI at SD Negeri No. 173373 Sidindamon. Sources of data used are places, informants, and documents. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and document analysis. Data validity was carried out using data source triangulation and method triangulation. Data analysis used is descriptive analysis technique. This research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementing, observation, and reflection. The results showed that the application of the Think Pare Share learning model assisted by Picture Media in learning to write descriptive text could increase students' interest in learning from 56% in cycle I to 72.2% in cycle II. In addition, student activity during learning also increased from 73% in cycle I to 85% in cycle II. Student achievement also increased from before, the average score in cycle I was 56 and only 1 student achieved KKM increased in cycle II to an average score of 75 with 9 students achieving KKM with a mastery percentage of 81.81%. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the Think Pare Share learning model assisted by Media Pictures in learning to write descriptive text can improve the quality of the process and learning achievement of class VI students from SD Negeri No. 173373 Sidondamon This can be shown by the increase in student interest, student activity, and student achievement from cycle I to cycle II.
